2. General information on data processing
2.1 Legal bases
Performance of a contract / pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — in particular to process project inquiries. Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), e.g. commercial and tax record-keeping obligations. Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), e.g. for the secure operation of the website.
2.2 Retention period
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations.
3. Hosting & server log files
Hetzner Online GmbH
Our website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hetzner pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
On every visit, our system automatically collects data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system.
This processing serves to deliver the website and ensure system security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Cookies and tracking
Analytics and marketing cookies
We do not use cookies for analytics, marketing, or tracking purposes on containerwerk.com and do not embed any corresponding third-party services (e.g. Google Analytics, Matomo). There is therefore no cookie banner or consent management tool on the site.
YouTube videos (click-to-load)
Some project pages may embed videos from YouTube. By default, no video is loaded and no connection to YouTube is established — you only see a preview with an explanatory note and a button to load the video.
Only once you actively click this button is a connection established to YouTube's servers (YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, a Google LLC company) and the video loaded via the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com. This may transfer personal data, including your IP address, to YouTube/Google and to the USA.
The legal basis for this data transfer is your consent, given through the active click on the button (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without this click, no connection to YouTube is made.
For more information on how YouTube handles user data, see Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Contacting us
Email and phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide to handle your inquiry (e.g. about a modular container construction project). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (for project-related inquiries) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (for other inquiries). The data is deleted once it is no longer required and no retention obligations preclude deletion.
6. Recipients and processors
Disclosure of data
We only disclose data where necessary to fulfil a purpose or where legally permitted. Hetzner Online GmbH (hosting) is in particular a processor within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR. Data is disclosed to authorities only where legally required.
7. Your rights
Data subject rights
You have the following rights:
Access (Art. 15 GDPR) Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) Withdrawal of consent already given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation.
An informal message to the contact details listed under Section 1 is sufficient to exercise your rights.
Right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the North Rhine-Westphalia State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (LDI NRW), which has jurisdiction for our registered office in Wassenberg: Kavalleriestr. 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
8. Data security
SSL/TLS encryption
We use SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix and the lock icon in your browser's address bar.
9. Not covered by this policy
Excluded processing
This policy covers only the website containerwerk.com. It does not cover, in particular, applicant data (see tin-inn.com/jobs) or data processing by other companies in the corporate group.
10. Currency and changes to this policy
